I have finished the rough lyca to check the pace of my animation, it has come in at 34 seconds exactly, this leaves me with 6 extra seconds of footage I need to plan out. I am planning to use this extra time for an extended establishing shot.
I've started planning out this animation in the roughest form possible, I have produced some incredible rough thumbnails and have become production on an incredibly rough lyca reel. This however will not be the final lyca reel as I have yet to complete my character design nor have I finalised all of the actions.

The rough lyca I am producing is simply to check the pacing of the film, I wish to see if I have gone over the allotted 40 seconds or have more time for extra actions during the film. The shots in the thumbnails and lyca are not final as I wish to perform more research on camera shots in order to get the correct feelings I want to portray to the audience for this film.

I wish to push myself on project but I need to keep the idea within achievable limits.

The central character is going to be a nameless young girl. I want the audience to be sympathetic to her so I will do what I can to incorporate that into her design. (Example: large expressive eyes and eyebrows. ) This girl is going to be lonely so I need the audience to feel empathy for her. I don't think that'll be too difficult as loneliness is an emotion we've all felt, especially when we were kids.

The premise of this film is that the child will be alone having a tea party in which she is bored and lonely. She comes across a roomba ( autonomous vacuum cleaner ) and procedes to use it as a guest for her tea party. Ultimately, I would like the girl to damage the roomba and put the roomba back where she found it as it short-circuits and rams into a wall. However, this could change as I feel it would not focus on the girls emotions in the end. This ending will likely be revised.

I want the child to be having fun as she interacts with the roomba ( and I want the audience to enjoy watching this child have a good time), but I want the childs spirit's to still be lifted even after the roomba is gone.
